Pixar's *Toy Story** *is back with a brand-new installment, and it’s been for the modern era. In their latest big screen adventure, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), and the rest of the gang face off against the most powerful plaything yet: technology.

*Toy Story 5* picks up with the characters' owner, Bonnie (Scarlett Spears), now eight years old and having a hard time making friends. Her peers are totally absorbed in their screens, so to keep up, she gets a “Lilypad” talking tablet. Suddenly, her real toys are at risk of obsolescence yet again. The film explores the conflict between modern tech and traditional toys, as our beloved cohort fights to stay relevant and reconnect with their owner.

Woody and co. are gonna need all the help they can get, and *Toy Story 5* features a gaggle of fresh toys, both analog and digital. The new voice cast includes comedian Conan O’Brien, *The Office* actor Craig Robinson, *Past Lives*’ Greta Lee, and many more.

Excited to meet these new characters? We’ve got you covered. Read on for **’s guide to the new toys you can expect to meet in *Toy Story 5.*

Greta Lee as Lilypad

Lilypad is a frog-shaped smart tablet and the film’s primary antagonist. She always manages to stay ahead of Jessie (Joan Cusack) and the other toys, who resent her intrusion into Bonnie’s life. Ultimately, Lilypad’s solution to help Bonnie make friends is to chat with them not in real life, but on “The Pond.”

Lilypad’s voice actress, Greta Lee, gained widespread recognition after starring in Celine Song’s Best Picture-nominated *Past Lives *(2023), but she started off with a healthy career in television. She’s made appearances on shows like *Girls, Inside Amy Schumer, *and *New Girl. *She also scored series regular roles on *Russian Doll *and *The Morning Show.*

Since *Past Lives,* Lee has been booked and busy in the film world as well. In addition to featuring in movies like *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse *(2023)* *and *Tron: Ares* (2025)*,* she’s about to star in Netflix’s upcoming horror original movie *The Last House.*

Speaking to EW about voicing Lilypad, Lee said she was drawn by the opportunity to "channel a lot of our own fears and concerns" about modern-day tech reliance.

"Playing her was extremely cathartic," she explained. "She's this thing that has held so much power within my house and has been a very complicated source of consideration."

Comedian and entertainer Conan O’Brien takes up the mantle as Smarty Pants, a toilet paper roll-shaped tech toy used to help potty train children. Smarty Pants had been stuck in sleep mode for years since his kid, Blaze Manoukian (Mykal-Michelle Harris), no longer needed his expertise, but he ends up getting a new lease on life — while annoying the crap out of Jessie.

With a career spanning more than forty years, O’Brien’s had his hand all over American pop culture, in comedy, TV, film, and podcasting.

He’s written for *The Simpsons* and *Saturday Night Live*; hosted multiple late night talk shows* *and the Academy Awards; hosts the podcast series *Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend*; and had two travel series*.* Recently, he made his dramatic debut playing a therapist in Mary Bronstein’s *If I Had Legs I’d Kick You *(2025)*.*

According to O’Brien in a conversation with EW*, *the pitch to play Smarty Pants was "the shortest meeting" of his career so far. "They thought they had to convince me," he said, "and I just was so thrilled to be part of it."

“I said yes after hearing that my character was there to train toddlers how to use the toilet,” he continued. “That was not an unpleasant surprise in the voiceover booth."

*Toy Story 5* director Andrew Stanton sent an offer letter to O’Brien that he now calls  "one of the greatest things I've ever written." It ends with this cheeky note: “You will not have to act for this roll.”

Craig Robinson as Atlas

Craig Robinson plays Atlas, a cheerful, hippo-shaped GPS toy who, alongside his tech-y comrades, Smarty Pants and Snappy, has been forgotten.

You may have fond memories of Robinson singing at Rihanna in *This Is the End* (2013)*, *but the actor, comedian, and musician first rose to prominence playing Darryl Philbin on *The Office. *He’s had a litany of television appearances throughout his career, and became a familiar face in Seth Rogen joints like *Knocked Up* (2007), *Sausage Party* (2016), *Zack and Miri Make a Porno* (2008), and *Pineapple Express* (2008)*.*

In addition to comedy and acting, Robinson is also a singer and piano player, and his band has been featured on *The Office *and the soundtrack for *Hot Tub Time Machine* (2010).

Robinson described Atlas as “jolly” and “happy to be alive” in his interview with EW.* *He also said that the closest thing he once had to an Atlas-type gadget was a View Master, which is making a nostalgia-fueled comeback. “It was very low-tech,” he said, “if any tech at all… You thought you were forgotten about, and now, all of a sudden, you got a new lease on life."

Snappy is an eager toy camera who’s excited to finally emerge from the junk drawer after all these years. The cute little camera is voiced by Shelby Rabara, an actress and dancer. Notably, she gave her voice to the character of Peridot on the popular Cartoon Network series *Steven Universe.*

Rabara has also popped up on a number of other TV shows, including *Awkward., Glee, Community, *and *2 Broke Girls. *She also had a small part in the Zac Efron film *17 Again* (2009)*.*

Rabara called the opportunity to join *Toy Story* a "dream come true" in a red carpet interview with LRMOnline*.*

Actor and chef Matty Matheson voices Dr. Nutcase, a tiny plastic peanut dressed up like a wrestler who has an intense fear of technology. You likely recognize the Canadian from his time on *The Bear* as handyman Neil Fak, but he’s first and foremost a chef and restaurateur.

He got his start in entertainment on the web show *Munchies* for Vice Media and has gone on to release three cookbooks, open a number of restaurants in Toronto, and even start a hardcore punk band.

In a red carpet interview with *Variety** *for the film's world premiere, Matheson called the role of Dr. Nutcase a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

Pizza with Sunglasses is another forgotten toy from Blaze’s collection who is desperate to see the light of day again — however, he's also extremely cool. That's probably why he's voiced by none other than Bad Bunny.

Real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, Bad Bunny is a Grammy-winning Puerto Rican rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer. Dubbed the "King of Latin Trap," he came to prominence in 2016 with the track “Diles,” and received wider recognition through collaborations such as “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin, and “Mia” with Drake.

He made waves in February 2026 when he brought the house down during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. He also took home the Grammy for Album of the Year, for his record *Debí Tirar Más Fotos.*

Recently, he’s crossed over into acting as well, appearing in *Caught Stealing *(2025),* Bullet Train *(2022),* *and *Happy Gilmore 2 *(2025)*.*

Veteran Scottish actor Alan Cumming will voice the part of Evil Bullseye — the fiendish alter-ego of Jessie’s traditionally mute, equine sidekick. During an imaginative playtime sequence, Evil Bullseye makes his grand entrance sporting a twisted mustache and a penchant for mischief.

Cumming has had a career spanning theater, film, and television over the past 40 years. Modern reality TV audiences are likely fond of his status as the host of *The Traitors**, *but his most notable film roles are wide-ranging, including *X2 *(2003), *Eyes Wide Shut* (1999),* *the *Spy Kids* trilogy, *Josie and the Pussycats* (2001),* *and the upcoming *Avengers: Doomsday* (2026).

Cumming spoke to *LADbible* about his eagerness to do voice work in a *Toy Story *movie, saying that he "adored" the past films. Despite the fact that the role is a short cameo, he said, "it is quite exciting as this character has never had a voice before.”
