Rachel Sennott is opening up about a spooky experience she had while staying at the Chateau Marmont.

The* I Love L.A.* creator, 30, revealed that she once saw the ghostly apparition of a man hovering above her bed while spending the night at the legendary West Hollywood hotel.

“I stayed at Chateau for my 29th birthday. I stayed there with one of my best friends, Katerina. We had birthday dinner,” Sennott told *W Magazine*. “We were gonna stay over and then we got upgraded to the party suite… It's haunted.”

The *Bottoms* co-writer explained that she and Katerina enjoyed a normal evening until they both headed off to bed.

“We were like, ‘Good night, love you, good night, love you.’ We both closed our doors at the same time, and then I felt the hallway going like this,” she said, using her hands to represent the hallway magically extending and further separating their two rooms. “Like it got really long and far away from each other.”

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. “Then I laid down in bed and I felt like there was a man on top of me, on the ceiling,” she said. “And then I took a sleeping pill and I went to bed. I was like, ‘Good night!’”

Sennott shared that she didn’t tell anyone about seeing a ghost that night because she was sure that she must’ve imagined it.

“And then like a year later I was talking to [Katerina], I was like, ‘It's so weird, that night…” she said. “And she was like, ‘The same exact thing happened to me.’”

The Chateau Marmont, which opened its doors in 1929, is famously believed to be haunted. Last year, *American Horror Story *creator Ryan Murphy, who recently redecorated two of the hotel’s rooms, also vouched for its supernatural status.

“It literally is haunted by the ghost of Hollywood, and I think that’s what I love about it,” he told *Interview Magazine* in October. “It’s always been a place where people went to misbehave and cut loose and have fun.”

Sennott and Murphy aren’t the only celebrities who have experienced paranormal phenomena in their lives, either. Back in 2024, Kate Hudson revealed that she used to be able to see spirits as a child.

“When I was a little girl, it was actually quite wild because I could see ghosts all the time. I was a little bit like *The Sixth Sense* — like, ‘I see dead people,’” she said on* The Howard Stern Show *at the time.
