Daveigh Chase, the former child actress who starred in projects like *The Ring* and *Lilo & Stitch*, has reportedly died.

The actress' boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, told TMZ that she died on Tuesday at age 35 after a bout of meningitis and a blood infection that caused septic issues. The outlet also reported that Chase was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital for malnutrition earlier this month.

Hernandez previously established several GoFundMe campaigns for Chase amid her health struggles. "Her condition has become critical, and the doctors have told me she may not have much time left," he wrote. "All she ever wanted was a place where we could live together, feel safe, and be happy. Now, more than ever, I want to give her that sense of home and peace in her final days."

Born in Las Vegas in 1990 and raised in Albany, Ore., Chase made her screen debut in a 1998 episode of *Sabrina the Teenage Witch*. She also acted on episodes of shows like *ER*, *Charmed*, and *The Practice*.

Her breakthrough came in 2002 when she voiced Lilo Pelekai, the rambunctious young Hawaiian protagonist in *Lilo & Stitch*. That same year, she appeared in Gore Verbinski's American remake of *The Ring*, in which she played Samara Morgan, the girl haunting the cursed video tape at the center of the plot.
