Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere looked just like their parents at The Shards premiere.
Kaia’s mom, Cindy Crawford, and Homer’s dad, Richard Gere, were married in the ‘90s.
The young stars are set to appear in Ryan Murphy’s new series, out Aug. 5.
Kaia Gerber and Homer Gere turned heads for lots of reasons at the premiere of Ryan Murphy’s new series The Shards in New York City.
Gerber, 24, was the spitting image of her mother, Cindy Crawford, while Homer, 26, the son of Richard Gere, posed next to her on the red carpet Monday. Gerber looked stunning in a gold-and-silver sequin Valentino gown, while Homer wore a black suit and tie.
Oddly enough, Crawford and Richard were married from 1991 to 1995, before she welcomed Kaia and son Presley with husband Rande Gerber, and Richard had Homer with now ex-wife Carey Lowell. (The Chicago star is now married to Alejandra Silva, with whom he shares two sons.)
When asked how her mom felt about Kaia working with her ex’s son Homer, the model and actress agreed with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere that it’s “such a small world.”
“I was just excited to meet him, honestly. And my mom’s coming tonight, so,” Kaia shared.

Kaia added, “I’d actually never met Homer until we started filming the show. I met him about a week before we started. But it was so nice. Honestly, he’s such a joy to work with and such a lovely person. He grew up East Coast, I grew up West Coast, but we’ve just gotten so close, and I couldn’t have picked a better scene partner, honestly.”
Crawford, 60, attended The Shards premiere at the SVA Theatre in support of Kaia’s blossoming acting career and was seen arriving at the after-party at the El Quijote in Chelsea. Richard Gere was not seen at the event.

The Shards, out Aug. 5 on FX and Hulu, is set in 1981 Los Angeles and follows prep school seniors as a serial killer called “The Trawler” targets teenagers. Murphy developed the show with author Bret Easton Ellis, whose semi-autobiographical novel was the inspiration.
The series also stars Igby Rigney, Graham Campbell, Hayes Warner, Wes Bentley, and Evan Rachel Wood.

Gere plays Robert Mallory, a mysterious and magnetic new student whose arrival is weirdly timed with the murders of a serial killer.
“This is all a game to him. He’s psycho,” Rigney’s Bret declares in the trailer.
Gerber, who plays Susan Reynolds, called the show a “seductive drama thriller” that “navigates sex, identity, obsession, and the horrors that lie beneath the surface of American adolescence” on Good Morning America.
The Shards debuts Aug. 5 on FX and Hulu, and will stream on Disney+ the next day.
