Jeremy Allen White and Jeremy Strong are at the center of The Social Reckoning, but don't expect the duo to share any screen time in Aaron Sorkin's new movie.
"Jeremy and I spent zero time together filming — we were totally separate," White, 35, told The Hollywood Reporterat The Bear's season 5 premiere on Monday, June 15, when asked for his take on Strong's performance as Mark Zuckerberg in the upcoming film.
He added, "So the first I heard was the trailer with you guys, but it's incredible. I thought it was great, but that's what I expect of Jeremy. He's so talented. He works so hard. It makes perfect sense to me."
The Social Reckoning is described as "a companion piece" to the 2010 film The Social Network, which Sorkin, 65, wrote and David Fincher directed. That movie launched Jesse Eisenberg's acting career on the back of his performance as a young Zuckerberg, now 42, as it dramatized Facebook's origins in the 2000s. The new movie is based on events that led to The Wall Street Journal's series of 2021 exposés known as "The Facebook Files."

"The film is inspired by the true story of how Frances Haugen (Mikey Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network's most guarded secrets," reads an official synopsis for the movie.
Strong, White and costar Madison were first reported to be up for roles in The Social Reckoning back in July 2025. Of course, Strong and White also recently worked together when they portrayed rock star Bruce Springsteen and his longtime manager Jon Landau in last fall's Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.

When White spoke with PEOPLE about the Springsteen biopic back in September 2025, he shared that the two men largely prepared for their roles separately before that movie, too.
"We went to our own corners and did our own work and we showed up and trusted one another and trusted that sort of admiration and care would be there, and it was," he said at the time, regarding bringing Springsteen and Landau's friendship to the screen.

None of The Social Network's cast, which also included Andrew Garfield,Justin Timberlake and Armie Hammer, will appear in The Social Reckoning. Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr costar in the new movie with Strong and White.
