Jelly Roll said he was left "puffy-faced" after being given a "bunch of steroids" at the hospital shortly before his divorce.
The 41-year-old rapper has filed for divorce from wife Bunnie Xo after almost 10 years of marriage. He cited irreconcilable differences in the filing and noted May 9 as their date of separation.
Just before news of the divorce was made public, Jelly Roll took to TikTok to open up about a health issue which affected him while on tour with Post Malone. Post Malone postponed the rest of the tour, telling fans they "ain't ready just yet."

Speaking in a video shared on June 11, Jelly Roll revealed he "went to the hospital" the day before after battling a sinus infection while on tour. "So, I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina," he told fans.
Jelly Roll stayed at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center and gave a shout out to staff at the hospital. He said, "Shout out to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show."
The musician continued, "I was puffy-faced, it was just bad dude. The sinus infection was bad." He explained how the doctors "gave me a bunch of steroids" to try and fight the infection.

Jelly Roll said the sinus infection was so bad it forced him to miss part of a show for the first time since he and Post Malone set off on tour. During the concerts, Jelly Roll usually returns to the stage later in the night to sing Losers with Post Malone, but he struggled on this night.
Post Malone didn't forget about his friend, with Jelly Roll revealing the 30-year-old sent him "a big flower bouquet" the next night. The flowers came with a note which read, "Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya."
Jelly Roll praised his pal and said, "I love you Post and when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I'm not making that up.
"He's the most normal dude in the world. Like I love you, Post." Fans wished Jelly Roll well, with one person commenting on the TikTok video, "Feel better soon @JellyRoll," with three red heart emojis.
"Post is awsome. True friend," another person praised as a third fan commented, "Feel better. Rest up, Jelly Roll. God willing see you tomorrow night!"
Jelly Roll's health update comes as he's getting divorced from Bunnie Xo. A source told People Magazine Jelly Roll has "changed a lot," as they explained, "There wasn't a moment where everything fell apart.
"They still love each other but were no longer on the same page about certain things, including what they wanted their future to look like. People saw the public side of things, but there was a lot more going on privately."
