Starring the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Jordana Brewster, the first film revved into theaters on June 22, 2001, kicking off a beloved racing franchise.
The action filmfollows cop Brian O'Conner (Walker) going undercover to join the street racing crew led by Dominic Toretto (Diesel). As he infiltrates the group, his priorities get tested, especially when he becomes romantically involved with Dominic's sister, Mia Toretto (Brewster). Dominic's girlfriend, Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodríguez), Jesse (Chad Lindberg) and Leon (Johnny Strong) also round out the group, and they all come together to face off against a rival gang led by Johnny Tran (Rick Yune).
The Fast and the Furious became an instant classic, with many of the cast members returning for several sequels. Walker starred in several of those films before he tragically died in a car crash while on a break from filming Furious 7 in 2013.
Though Brewster played Walker's love interest in the movie, off-camera, she's been married to Mason Morfit since 2022. Meanwhile, Diesel has been dating his longtime partner Paloma Jiménez since 2007.

Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, has been in a relationship with Jiménez since 2007. Born in Mexico, Jiménez is a model who keeps a low profile.
Though both prefer to keep their privacy, the couple have stepped out publicly together on numerous occasions, with Jiménez joining Diesel for many of his movie premieres, including Riddick(2013), Furious 7 (2015) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), and several Vanity Fair Oscar parties.
The longtime partners are parents to three children: daughters Hania and Pauline, born in April 2008 and March 2015, respectively, and son Vincent, born in August 2010. Pauline was named in honor of Walker, Diesel's castmate and good friend, who was in the room when she was born.
Diesel has praised his partner on multiple occasions, including a sweet 2014 tribute on Instagram that included his nickname for her. "There is no greater gift to a man than a loving mother to his children. The Mayan Queen," he wrote alongside a photo of Jiménez and Vincent.

Rodríguez plays Dominic's girlfriend, Lenny Ortiz, and in real life, they briefly dated, as Diesel confirmed to USA Today in 2002.
These days, however, Rodríguez appears to be single. In the past, she was romantically linked to Zac Efron and Cara Delevingne, according to The Cut.
The Avatar star spoke about her love life in October 2013, telling Entertainment Weekly that she's "curious" about who she dates. "I've gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f------ curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks," she told the publication.
She opened up even further in a January 2015 conversation with Milla Jovovich for Interview magazine, citing her penchant for short relationships as a major reason why (at least at that time) having children wasn't on her radar.
"I'm a lone wolf. I run by myself on most things," Rodríguez said. "I've got lots of really great friends, but the thought of being in a long-lasting relationship? Psh, I couldn't last more than six months with somebody, let alone have a father figure around for a kid."

Jordana Brewster and Mason Morfit

Brewster plays Dominic's sister and Brian's love interest, Mia Toretto. She has been married to Morfit since 2022.
The couple met at a business lunch when she was still married to Andrew Form, but things didn't turn romantic until after she filed for divorce in July 2020 after 13 years of marriage.
Brewster and Morfit got engaged in September 2021 and tied the knot one year later in September 2022.
"One of the things that I really love about our relationship is that we're growing together," The Pirate King star told PEOPLE in September 2021. "And that he pushes me to be better, and I push him to be better."
Brewster and Form — who was later married to actress Alexandra Daddario from 2022 to 2026 — share two sons: Julian, born in 2013, and Rowan, born in 2016. Morfit also has four children from his previous marriage.

Rick Yune

Yune, who plays Johnny Tran, appears to be single.
He keeps a fairly low profile but frequently posts on Instagram about his time on various sets and with throwback photos with former costars, including Rodríguez. Yune's post-Fast film projects have included Die Another Day (2002), Olympus Has Fallen (2013) and Tetris (2023), and he also starred on the Netflix show Marco Polo and had a guest arc on Fox's Prison Break.

Lindberg, who plays Jesse, has been dating Allison Eckhart since August 2024.
Eckhart shared in their one-year anniversary post on Instagram that the pair met on Hinge. In the post's comments, Lindberg wrote, "I love you so much baby. I'm so lucky. 🫴❤️😘."
Eckhart's Instagram bio reads "Tall and Sassy. Dental Office Manager." In addition to sharing photos with Lindberg, she's also posted snaps with some of his costars, like The 'Burbsstar Keke Palmer and Kevin Costner, with whom he acted in 2024's Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 2. Eckhart's dog Josie — born the same year Fast premiered — also has her own Instagram account.
In February 2025, Eckhart shared on Instagram that she was "so proud" of Lindberg while attending the premiere of his Horizon. That December, Lindberg commented on Eckhart's 2025 round-up post on Instagram, writing in the comments, "16 months bab and many more baby. I loooooove you. 🥂."

Johnny Strong

Strong, who plays Leon, appears to be single. He was previously married to actress Alexandra Holden, whom he wed in 1997, but they later divorced.
Strong went on to act in Sinners & Saints (2010), Daylight's End (2016) and Warhorse One (2023). In addition to acting, Strong is also a musician and accomplished martial artist, according to his website.
