- Holly Madison is speaking out about her "falling out" with *Girls Next Door *costar Kendra Wilkinson.

- Madison said on Thursday's episode of the *Hot Goss *podcast that she hasn't spoken to Wilkinson since 2012.

- "At the time she was really caught up in the tabloid cycle. If her thing to get in the tabloids that week was a rift with someone, then she was going to say it," Madison recalled.

Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson have come a long way from the Playboy Mansion.

The former Playmates last appeared on the reality series *Girls Next Door** *together in 2009. Spinoffs centering on both followed. But on Thursday's episode of the *Hot Goss *podcast, Madison said she has not spoken to her former costar in over a decade.

"Kendra and I don't speak, but I'm not opposed to speaking. We had a falling out, but it was after the show," Madison explained. When asked if she's spoken to Wilkinson in the time since, Madison replied, "No, but I think you know back — this was like 2012 when we had that falling out — I just think that was the cycle that was happening."

Madison went on to detail what she calls "the cycle" that drove a wedge between them at length.

"It was stuff that had to do with our spinoffs, and working with the same producer. I really feel like he tried to pit us against each other and got in our heads. So, that's a shame," she shared.

The producer in question was Kevin Burns, who co-created *The Girls Next Door *alongside Playboy founder and series star, Hugh Hefner. Burns first produced a spinoff centered on Wilkinson, titled *Kendra*, which premiered the year before Madison, Wilkinson, and their *Girls Next Door *castmate Bridget Marquardt all ended their runs on the series.

After *Kendra *proved a success, Burns greenlit the series that would become *Holly's World*, and developed a spinoff around Marquardt that was never picked up.

Madison has previously spoken about her frustrations with Burns, which she claims resulted in tension with Wilkinson. On a 2022 episode of the *Juicy Scoop *podcast, Madison even alleged that Burns, who died in 2020, admitted to deliberately spiking the relationship.

"Things got weird with me and Kendra, and I felt like he was encouraging that," she said. "He wanted us fighting, he wanted drama, he wanted me to come on her show and like brag about how much money I was making in Vegas so she'd get a little poke in the ass to take more jobs to make her show more interesting. I don't know, that's what he told me."

On a 2015 episode of another Wilkinson-centric spinoff, *Kendra on Top*, the reality star claimed that she and Madison "were never friends," but merely "f---ed the same man" (per *HuffPost*).

When asked about that remark on *Hot Goss*, Madison replied, "We were never as close, obviously, as me and Bridget. We don't have much in common, but we shared a lot of experiences and had a lot of good times together, so I never thought of her as not a friend."

Madison continued, "You know what I think it was? At the time, she was really caught up in the tabloid cycle. If her thing to get in the tabloids that week was a rift with someone, then she was going to say it, and if somebody wrote a clickbait headline, she was going to retweet it. I'm sitting here like, 'Wait, I just sent your son a Christmas gift,' like, we're not friends? That's so weird. So I think she was just really caught up."
