Brooklyn Beckham is accusing his mom, Victoria Beckham, of "inviting women from my past into our lives" in an effort to "ruin" his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.

After months of speculation about a rift between the couple and his parents, David and Victoria, Brooklyn broke his silence in a shocking, lengthy Instagram Stories post on Monday, Jan. 19, detailing what he claims is an ongoing attempt by his parents to sabotage his relationship with Nicola in the name of publicity.

"My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we've tried to come together as one," he wrote in one of multiple slides. He further alleged, "My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable."

Brooklyn, 26, also addressed a longstanding rumor about his 2022 wedding to Nicola, 31.

After a source told PEOPLE in May 2025 that there were "tensions between Brooklyn and Nicola and the family" that began after Victoria, 51, allegedly declined to make Nicola's wedding dress, Brooklyn claimed his mother canceled on the bride "at the eleventh hour."

"My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn't stopped," he claimed. "My mum cancelled making Nicola's dress in the eleventh hour, despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress."

A rep for David, 50, and Victoria did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Brooklyn and his wife tied the knot at her parents' Palm Beach estate in April 2022. Nicola wore a custom Valentino Haute Couture gown for the ceremony, telling Vogue at the time that "it was a no-brainer" to go with the fashion house.

Speaking with Variety for a November 2022 feature story about Brooklyn, Nicola denied rumors of a feud with her mother-in-law over her wedding dress.

"I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn't do it, so then I had to pick another dress," Nicola told the outlet. "She didn't say you can't wear it; I didn't say I didn't want to wear it. That's where it started, and then they ran with that."

Brooklyn also denied feud rumors. "I've learned they're always going to try to write stuff like that. They're always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good," he told Variety.

In his Instagram post, Brooklyn claimed that his parents have long "controlled narratives in the press about our family."

"The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into," he continued. "Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they'll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out."

In another slide, he shared, "I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."

Last May, a source reiterated to PEOPLE that David and Victoria were unhappy with the rift with the son. "The relationship is definitely not beyond repair," an insider told PEOPLE in early May. "They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life."

And earlier this month, a source with knowledge of the situation told PEOPLE, “David and Victoria have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.""David loves his kids," the insider said of Brooklyn and younger sons Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 14. "They are his everything."
