Bachelor Nation has followed Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon’s love story for more than a decade, but the Bravo audience was introduced to the couple on the premiere of the new series The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.

“Everybody's scared for me. They're like, ‘Ashley, you don't know what you're jumping into,’” Iaconetti told Entertainment Weekly at the RHORI premiere event on Monday, March 30, at Level Ten at Starrett-Lehigh in NYC.

During Thursday’s premiere, Iaconetti attempted to fill Jared in on drama with her new costars, including Rosie DiMare and Jo-Ellen Tiberi, at the couple’s coffee shop, Audrey’s. Iaconetti's gossip session was interrupted as Haibon was focused on fulfilling and calling out coffee orders.

Iaconetti told EW that viewers should "not read into that" scene as a reflection of her marriage.

"You cannot have a conversation with him at Audrey's. He's not ignoring me. That's not a sign that he's not into me. That is literally him in work mode," Iaconetti said. "So please go to your husband's work and see if he totally pays attention to you."

Iaconetti and Haibon met on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2015. While it was love at first sight for her, it took Haibon some time (including another season of BiP and Iaconetti to have a stint on The Bachelor: Winter Games) to realize she was The One. They married in Rhode Island in August 2019 and share two kids: Dawson, 4, and Hayden, who turns 2 this summer.

It’s clear Audrey’s will be a storyline on the season, with Iaconetti admitting on the show that the shop doesn’t make as much money as they hoped — and keeps Haibon busy.

“I need you to know this,” she continued. “Jared and I take care of our children 50/50 more than any other mom and dad combo I've ever seen. This man has been with our kids overnight for the fourth night this week. He's the most involved father. I don't want to go on my soapbox here, but he is such an impressive dad. He parents just as much as I do. So Audrey's may get a lot of attention, but our kids and our home life get so much more.”

At the premiere event, Andy Cohen told EW that he is excited for fans to “meet the women.” In addition to Iaconetti, DiMare and Tiberi, RHORI stars Liz McGraw, Kelsey Swanson, Alicia Carmody and Rulla Nehme Pontarelli. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania also appears as “friend” on the show.

“It's so funny and it feels like an old school season of Housewives in a weird way,” Cohen said. “It's just delicious in every way. And they're untouched by the machine of trying to be a certain way. They're uniquely themselves.”

The Real Housewives of Rhode Island airs on Bravo Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, streaming on Peacock the next day.
